[Video] Kelly Clarkson’s Wedding Day Video
Congratulations are in order for Kelly Clarkson — she married Brandon Blackstock on Sunday, November 20, in a small and private ceremony with just Brandon’s kids in attendance. She tweeted, “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock 🙂 We got married … at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!”
And she’s not kidding. She released a video, courtesy of Weiss Eubanks Films, to show us just how gorgeous the location is — we get to see the two newlyweds together (even in a canoe) and also what looks to be the ceremony taking place on a wooden bridge. Patty Griffin’s “Heavenly Day” plays over the video, and the end simply says, “Brandon & Kelly Blackstock.”
Steph Ashmore, Kelly’s stylist, told People that the wedding dress, which is a Temperley Bridal “Jessamine” gown with a Maria Elena crystal-studded headpiece, matches the Idol alum’s “Jane Austen-meets-country-relaxed feel. It feels like an heirloom.” Kelly’s 4.24 carat diamond ring (which is interlocked with her yellow-diamond engagement ring) was designed by Johnathon Arndt, who’s a friend of Kelly’s and said, “When you see Kelly and Brandon together, they are just as in love as you would think of in a fairy tale.”
Listen to Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas Single “Underneath the Tree”
Speaking of the American Idol winner, in the midst of getting married, Kelly is also preparing for the release of her Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, which drops October 29. The first single, “Underneath the Tree,” which is one of the original tunes on the record, has been released, and you can listen to it below:
“Underneath the Tree” is a fantastic track; it feels like some of the other upbeat holiday tunes that have been around for years. Sometimes when a singer comes out with original Christmas songs, it’s hard to live up to the classics, but this one doesn’t fall short.
You can catch Kelly Clarkson performing this and many of the other songs from Wrapped in Red on her Christmas special, airing Wednesday, December 11 at 10pm on NBC.

Daughtry Releases Promo Single “Long Live Rock & Roll”
This fall really is the season of Idols, as Daughtry is also releasing an album. Baptized comes out on November 9, and a new promo single has been released ahead of the launch. “Long Live Rock & Roll” continues the band’s experimentation with different music styles, following on the heels of their single “Waiting for Superman,” which included elements of Electronic Dance Music.
While “Long Live Rock & Roll” is a marked departure from Daughtry’s usual straight-up rock/pop sound, I really enjoyed listening to this song, and am looking forward to hearing the entire album.
