On tonight’s episode of America’s Next Top Model, the models were surprised by a posing expert and a supermodel. In the house, many of the girls had a hard time getting along with one another and traded insults. The models faced off in a head-to-head battle on the streets of Brooklyn and got up close and personal for their photoshoots. The models who seemed disconnected from the competition were the ones who landed in the bottom two. Here are more details about tonight’s episode of America’s Next Top Model.
The models were surprised tonight by both posing expert Benny Ninja and supermodel Vendela. They were given a crash course in the difference between posing for catalogs, commercials, and couture. It came in handy when they were brought to the streets of Brooklyn for a posing contest. They were split into two teams and faced off in a one-on-one challenge. The winning team got to go to a swag (aka free stuff) tent. The winning team was made up of Marvita, Claire, Stacy Ann, Katarzyna, and Whitney. Claire, who was named the best poser, won an extra prize – a trip to Bora Bora.
At the house, drama erupted between Whitney and Dominique as well as Fatima and Marvita. When Whitney didn’t inform Dominique that it was her turn to use the phone, the two got into a heated verbal battle. Whitney called her uneducated and Dominique called her a racist. Fatima felt that Marvita didn’t represent their race well, calling her “ghetto” throughout most of the episode.
For their photoshoot, the models did close-up shots of their faces with paint splattered on it. Jay Manuel was surprised to see that Dominique and Lauren turned out beautiful photos. Dominique was able to soften up her look while Lauren got creative and comfortable in front of the camera. Marvita and Fatima both struggled in their shoots. Marvita looked bored and disconnected from her photos while Fatima had a hard time making her poses look natural.
In panel, Tyra called Stacy Ann first followed by Dominique, Claire, Anya, Lauren, Katarzyna, and Fatima. Marvita landed at the bottom for her defeatist attitude while the judges worried that Whitney wasn’t more than just a pretty face. Tyra felt that both were not fully invested in the competition. She chooses, though, to keep Whitney and send Marvita home. Tomorrow Marvita will talk to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview. Don’t miss out on hearing what she has to say!
