To prepare ourselves for the crazy, perhaps catastrophic premiere of America’s Next Top Model: All Stars, let’s familiarize ourselves with the contestants. We know a lot about these ladies from their time on the show, but what have they accomplished since then? What mysterious mystical force convinced them to take another shot at the much-coveted and often laughed-at title? Was it Tyra?
Some of these questions will be answered throughout this week, when we take a look back at the lives of these All-Star contestants. We’ll also highlight a few of their best moments on America’s Next Top Model.
Now, bow down as we make way for the queen bee Camille McDonald.
Original Cycle: Cycle 2, 2004
Placed: 5th
Age: 33
Has Modeled For: Escada, Azure Denim, Wolfords of London, Glamour Magazine, D-Squared, W Magazine
Camille was known for breathtaking photos, but she also had an attitude that could stop you from breathing. She was dominating and arrogant during her time on America’s Next Top Model, which caused problems for both her fellow contestants and the judges. Her strong presence didn’t just translate to camera; it also spilled over to her relationships with others.
With her “signature walk” that she wouldn’t change for anyone, Camille became the girl everyone loved to hate. She didn’t follow instructions, she came in late to the acting classes, and she always thought she was right. Even so, she managed to land a spot in the Final Five.
When the judges had had enough of her attitude, she moved to Europe and signed with Major Model Management in Milan. She was seen on runways and modeled lingerie, until she moved back to New York.
Her talent got her places, as Camille was seen on several billboard campaigns and print ads. She also took up an internship with fashion legend Diane Von Furstenberg to study marketing. Since then, the Top Model dominatrix has launched her own line of lingerie called LingerWear.
Armed with her confidence, Camille remains ever-so-confident that she’ll make it to the top this time. But if she’s not going to tone down that attitude, Tyra and Co. might have another problem in their hands.
Check back tomorrow as we look at another contestant from America’s Next Top Model All-Stars. And set your calendars for the show’s premiere on September 14.
