The CW has announced premiere dates for its summer 2015 series, which includes the return of America’s Next Top Model, Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Masters of Illusion. The third season premiere of Beauty and the Beast is still set for May 21.
Outside of Beauty and the Beast, all of the network’s summer shows will begin in July and August. First up is the premiere of Penn & Teller: Fool Us on July 6. This magic competition show, which found success in its freshman season (after having originally aired in the UK), sees magicians performing magic for the duo. If Penn and Teller cannot figure out how the illusion was done, the contestant will get to perform in their Las Vegas show.
Fool Us isn’t the only returning magic show on The CW this summer. Masters of Illusion is also coming back, starting on July 10 with 13 episodes. Unlike Fool Us, though, Illusion is not a competition series; it simply features magicians performing for the audience.
America’s Next Top Model Cycle 22 will premiere on August 5. And Whose Line Is It Anyway? is moving from Fridays back to Monday nights starting on July 6 (following Penn & Teller: Fool Us).
The CW is also debuting some brand-new shows as well this summer. First up is Dates, premiering July 9 with two back-to-back half-hour episodes. This is a British series that centers on people who are going on a first date after meeting online. The show will feature stars like Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), Ben Chaplin (Thin Red Line), Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Katie McGrath (Dracula), Amanda Hale (The White Queen) and Gemma Chan (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit).
Also new is Significant Mothers, making its debut on August 3 after Penn & Teller and Whose Line. This comedy follows restaurateur Nate who finds out his roommate is dating his mother, Lydia. Adding onto that, Nate’s father is now trying to hook back up with Lydia. The series stars Josh Zuckerman, Krista Allen, Jonathan Silverman, Emma Fitzpatrick and Jay Ali.
Finally, in A Wicked Offer, premiering on August 5 (following the return of ANTM), couples are given scandalous and controversial tasks to complete that have to do with their families and friends. Along the way, they have the chance to earn cash prizes.
