Upfronts Week is almost over, but first it’s CBS’s turn to reveal its fall 2015 schedule and present trailers for the new shows. The network is debuting three new dramas and two comedies in the fall.
On the comedy side, there’s Angel from Hell and Life in Pieces. Check out the first look trailers below for both of these shows, and see if you might want to check them out when they premiere.

Angel from Hell (Thursdays at 9:30pm)
Glee came to an end earlier in the year, and while Jane Lynch has many other projects going on in her life, including Hollywood Game Night, it’ll be great to see her in another scripted series. Angel from Hell stars Lynch as Amy, a very loud and inappropriate woman (where have we seen that before?) who claims that she’s the guardian angel of Allison, played by Maggie Lawson. How do you respond to someone like that? Amy wants to help guide Allison with making the right decisions in life — and it could be her last shot at proving herself as an angel. The series also stars Kevin Pollak and Kyle Bornheimer.
I hope this series does well, if only because Jane Lynch is such a great actress. The trailer shows promise. At almost six minutes, it goes into quite a lot of details setting up the premise and giving us a good glimpse into what the show is like. And Lynch has some great comedic moments as well.

Life in Pieces (Thursdays at 8:30pm)
Life in Pieces, which will first air on Mondays at 8:30pm until November when Thursday Night Football ends, centers on a big, happy family who go through all sorts of awkward and funny milestone moments. Each episode will present four short stories about the goings-on in this family. The series stars Thomas Sadoski, Angelique Cabral, Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister Jones, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Dianne Wiest and James Brolin.
Life in Pieces will have the post-Big Bang Theory timeslot, and along with a strong lineup of cast members, it has a lot going for it right now. But we’ll have to wait and see if it can live up to all that. The trailer does have a couple humorous scenes, but it also looks like the show will showcase some touching and heartfelt moments as well.
