Tonight, part two of the three-part final Head of Household competition was held in the Big Brother 8 house. Part one began on Tuesday’s show, and the results left everyone’s tongues wagging. Though the live feeds were blacked out during the second competition, discussions afterwards revealed which of the remaining two houseguests won, setting up an epic showdown on tomorrow night’s live show to determine who will be the final Head of Household, who will be the final person sent to the jury house, and who will be in the final two for a shot at half a million dollars. The stakes can’t get any higher.
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains information about the Head of Household competition not yet shown on TV.
As we all know by now, Zach won the lengthy endurance competition to take part one. After he secured his place in the final part of the HoH competition, today it was between Dick and Daniele, the Donato father and daughter, to decide who would face Zach on Thursday’s live show.
Though it was blacked out and we’re not sure what the competition involved, we do know that Dick was the winner. This will delight some, infuriate others, and surprise most. All throughout this season, it’s his daughter Daniele who proved so adept at the competitions, so to see Dick beat her heads up makes you wonder exactly what kind of competition it was. Possible competitions Dick could have one: spitting contest, Puck lookalike contest, who can smoke a pack of cigarettes the fastest, or maybe a nice old school round of the dozens. Yo momma is so stupid, she thought the Head of Household was what sits on top of Hugh Laurie’s shoulders.
In the immediate aftermath, Dick took to talking about his favorite topic: how the Donatos make great television. Dick went on about how it’s a perfect story for the show, that he will be fighting to save his daughter. Yeah, sort of like what happened in the first part of the HoH competition. Oh, snap!
Apparently, the final part of the HoH competition will involve trivia about all the other houseguests. Dick, naturally, thinks Zach is an idiot who knows nothing about anyone, and that he will be able to defeat the ogre in a cakewalk. Zach, on the other hand, believes Dick doesn’t know anything about everyone else. Two overconfident men will enter, only one will become victorious.
Regardless of who is right, tomorrow will be quite exciting. If Zach wins, who will he take, and how will the jury house react? Will they reward the Donatos for dominating and manipulating their way to the final three through antagonizing everyone? Of course, if Dick wins, it’s all kind of a moot point – he takes Daniele into the final two, then he tells everyone in the jury to give the money to his daughter. They do so, not because he said, but because they hate him and she kicked butt. Then Dick can gloat about how he’s the greatest person since Jesus Christ because he selflessly sacrificed victory to benefit his daughter, and he’ll crow about how he’s made up for not being there and that now he’s the loving, caring father she never had.
Check back tomorrow for live thoughts and post-show analysis as the final two contestants for Big Brother 8 are determined.
