It’s time to start thinking about the summer, and for CBS that means the return of Big Brother and a bunch of other shows, including the third season of Zoo.
Big Brother 19 will begin with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, June 28 at 8/7c. New episodes will also air Thursdays at 9/8c and Sunday at 8/7c, with future Wednesday episodes lasting just one hour and starting at 8/7c. That’s the same launch set-up as last summer, which might suggest a similar beginning with someone being evicted on that second night.
Zoo will return for season 3 on Thursday, June 29 at 10/9c. The new season is set in 2027 where the human population is dwindling due to a sterility epidemic and killer lab-made beasts hunting mankind.
Candy Crush, a new game show based on the popular mobile game, will debut Sunday, July 9 at 9/8c.
Finally, the new scripted thriller Salvation premieres Wednesday, July 12 at 9/8c. The series is about a tech genius and MIT grad student who go to the Pentagon with information about an asteroid that will hit Earth in six months.
Clearly CBS is consolidating its summer line-up, using all three nights of Big Brother 19 as a lead-in for the rest of its schedule.
