In a move that surprises absolutely no one, FOX has officially canceled comedies I Hate My Teenage Daughter and Breaking In. For Breaking In, this marks the second time FOX has canceled the show.
I Hate My Teenage Daughter premiered in November after The X Factor to disastrous ratings. It was quickly shelved and moved to Tuesdays when Glee went on hiatus, but then it was pulled from the schedule again. The final six episodes were scheduled to run back-to-back Sundays at 7pm this June, but FOX has since canceled those plans and it’s unknown if those final episodes will ever see the light of day.
The same can be said for Breaking In. The Christian Slater comedy aired five episodes this spring, but it’s unknown of the remaining eight episodes of season 2 will air.
The cancellations make room for the network’s recently ordered new comedies. Joining New Girl and Raising Hope are Mindy Kalinhg’s It’s Messy, the male nanny sitcom Ben and Kate and The Goodwin Games from the creators of How I Met Your Mother. FOX will announce its 2012-2013 schedule this Monday.
