From Sex and the City creator Darren Star comes a dramedy series called Cashmere Mafia about four female executives and their support for one another as they go through life’s challenges. Officially picked up as a midseason replacement for its 2007-2008 lineup, ABC has ordered 13 episodes, which will take the Tuesday niche at 9/8C.
Directed by Peyton Reed (The Break-Up) and written by Kevin Wade (Maid in Manhattan), Cashmere Mafia attempts to showcase the complex personal lives of the four thirty something women in their own created “boys club.”

Bonnie Somerville, who plays Caitlin, a senior VP for a cosmetic giant on Cashmere Mafia, is an actress known for her work on The O.C., NYPD Blue and Gross Pointe. Her acting credits include Friends and Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story.
Frances O’Connor, who portrays Zoe, a top investment banker, is an Anglo-Australian actress notable for films like Three Dollars, The Lazarus Child, Book of Love and Piccadilly Jim. She has also graced numerous television shows like The Panel and Blue Heelers.
Julian Ovenden, who plays Eric, husband of Zoe, is an English actor who has appeared on series such as Related, Foyle’s War, and The Royal.
Lucy Liu, who plays Mia, is an Emmy Award-nominated Chinese-American actress best known for her work on Ally McBeal and in films like Kill Bill and Charlie’s Angels. She has also guest starred on shows like Ugly Betty and Joey.
Miranda Otto, who plays Juliet, the COO of a hotel chain, is an Australian Film Institute-nominated and Logie Award-winning Australian actress who is popularly known for her work on Lord of the Rings as Éowyn. She has also starred in films like What Lies Beneath, Through My Eyes: The Lindy Chamberlain Story and War of the Worlds.
Peter Hermann, who plays Davis, is a German native who has appeared on the soap opera Guiding Light and Beautiful People.
