Curb Your Enthusiasm director and star Larry David may be busy with Woody Allen’s Whatever Works, but the comedian says he has no qualms about returning to shoot for the upcoming seventh season of the HBO hit.
“I don’t see why not,” David tells Star Pulse. “Yeah, I was comfortable, I was comfortable, it was not a big stretch to do the part.”
“My marriage to Cheryl on the show, well, we split up last season, remember? I’m with Vivica Fox,” he continues, but asked if the David’s would be willing to patch things up, he said, “Well, I suppose you’ll have to watch the series.”
This doesn’t mean, however, that Cheryl Hines will be completely out of the picture. David promises that she’ll be back, together with Vivica Fox, Meg Ryan, and the cast of Seinfeld who are all joining the seventh season of Curb.
“Larry David is my man! And I am still making his life chaotic,” Fox previously said.
On Curb‘s sixth season, Cheryl and Larry sheltered a New Orleans family named the Blacks (Vivica Fox and J.B. Smoove) in their house, after a hurricane destroyed the Blacks’ home. Larry returned to the dating scene after he and Cheryl encountered a bump in their relationship.
David, 61, is the star of the New York-based comedy Whatever Works, written and directed by Woody Allen. He is joined by Evan Rachel Wood, Patricia Clarkson, Kristen Johnston, Ed Begley, Jr., Michael McKean, and Henry Cavill. The star of Curb Your Enthusiasm plays eccentric, misanthropic chess teacher Boris Yelnikoff, who hails from Greenwich Village and comes home one night and finds a young woman (Wood) lying on his doorstep. The two marries despite the 40-year difference.
After its April 22 Tribeca debut, Whatever Works was released in mainstream theaters June 19.
