After the successful first tour, Dancing with the Star will once again cruise throughout North American to bring its popular team of stars and professional dancers from the program’s first four seasons to fans’ hometowns.
Produced by BBC Worldwide, AEG LIVE, and Front Line Management Group, the Dancing with the Stars tour is set to start in Austin, Texas on June 20 and will end in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 24. Avid supporters can purchase tickets on Saturday, May 12, and can check out the show’s official website for other details.
“The phenomenal success of the first Dancing With The Stars tour and the record-breaking ratings for the current season indicated it was definitely time for us to hit the road again and bring the magic of Dancing back to fans home towns,” said Paul Telegdy, SVP Programming & Production, BBC Worldwide.
The two-hour show will feature a grand recreation of the programs’ actual stage with an intimate nightclub setting, which would give the fans the opportunity to visibly access all the action. The tour, which is teamed with I Love All Access, will offer VIP ticket packages at every show which consist of dance floor level seating, exclusive goodies and a private bar service.
“Dancing With The Stars reintroduced American audiences to ballroom dancing and it was a thrilling challenge for us to deliver it live on tour to fans of all ages. Our first tour saw record audiences and standing ovations at each show and judging from this remarkable second ensemble cast, we’re about to deliver another can’t miss show,” said Debra Rathwell, SVP, AEG LIVE.
The second tour of Dancing with the Stars will comprise of Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson from season four, Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke from season two, Joey Lawrence and Edyta Sliwinska from season three, Joey McIntyre and Julianne Hough from season one, and professional dancers Alec Mazo and Louis Van Amstel.
Under the choreography and creative direction of Louis Van Amstel and Carrie Ann Inaba, the live show will showcase celebrity group and solo dances, and will involve never-before-seen rehearsal footages, exclusive interviews, and other surprises.
