Other than official confirmation from Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno, ABC has been mum about the rest of the contestants as Dancing with the Stars returns this fall. At the very least, E! Online reports that Tori Spelling’s hubby Dean McDermott is currently in talks to compete on the upcoming season.
“He wants to do it,” a source says. “He’d be really good at it, too.” The show has reportedly been approaching Spelling to join the show since its 2006 debut. It thus sounds reasonable, since last season featured a husband versus wife match up in person of singer Jewel and bull rider husband Ty Murray.
Rumors have it that Donny Osmond wanted to follow his sister Marie’s footsteps and join the show, as well as professional wrestler Kurt Angle and designer Vera Wang.
Dancing with the Stars kicks off its new season September 21, with the new batch of contestants set to be announced in the August 17 episode of Good Morning America.
