Duane Chapman has had an interesting and colorful life with his bounty hunting career, history of convictions, fallout with the Mexican government, controversial racial slur, and his reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter, just to name a few. Spectators who have become intrigued with the 55-year-old bail bondsman now have a chance to get to know him better as he makes an extremely rare personal appearance two months from now.
The star of the Dog the Bounty Hunter is set to perform at Mooseheart Child City and School in Chicago, Illinois on April 11 and April 12. He’ll be in concert with bands such as Echoing Angels, Emery, Inhabited, Flatfoot 56, and Will Duvall for two very different nights.
More importantly, Chapman will speak for 45 minutes from his heart about his life, tragedies, triumphs, and faith. Tagging along is his wife Beth Chapman, who also appears on the reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter. This meet and greet event also encourages spectators come with an open mind, and leave with a changed heart.
Duane Chapman is an ex-con who spent 18 months in prison. After being released, he became a bail bondsman and bounty hunter, which is also the focus of the reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Chapman made news with his hunt and capture of Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who at the time was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Because bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico, prosecutors in that country charged Duane and his companions with detaining Luster and asked U.S. authorities to arrest him, along with his son Leland Chapman and associate Tim Chapman, and send them to Mexico. Just recently, a Mexican court dropped all his charges.
At present, Chapman is struggling to pick up his life and move on after his show was taken off the air following last year’s racial slur controversy.
