Two major things occurred during last week’s episode of Glee. First, New Directions came in second to Throat Explosion at Nationals. And then Principal Sue Sylvester disbanded the glee club due to that extremely poor placement. (How second place at Nationals is considered a travesty, I’ll never know.)
But tonight’s episode is sure to brighten everyone’s mood because it’s the 100th episode of Glee! Former McKinley High students (including those we haven’t seen in a while like Puck, Quinn and Brittany) return to the school to reunite with New Directions as the glee club is disbanded. There’s also some big guest stars returning: Kristen Chenoweth as April Rhodes and Gwyneth Paltrow as Holly Holliday. Chase Crawford is also guest starring as Quinn’s boyfriend.

Last fall, fans had the chance to vote for which previous covers should be remixed. The winning songs will be featured over the course of the two-part 100th episode event, which continues next week.
Here are the six songs we’ll see performed in “100”: Avril Lavigne’s “Keep Holding On,” Mark Ronson and Amy Whinehouse’s “Valerie,” “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, Pink’s “Raise Your Glass,” Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and Pharrell Williams’ “Happy.”
You might be wondering why “Happy” is on this list. We originally reported that “Dog Days Are Over” was chosen as one of the winning songs, but it has since been replaced by the Pharrell tune. It is unclear why the swap was made, but “Happy” will now be the only song in the episode that hasn’t been covered before on Glee.
Listen to all of the songs below:
“Keep Holding On” — Puck
“Keep Holding On” was originally sung on Glee by New Directions in season 1 in support of Quinn after news spread that she was pregnant.

Do you have a favorite cover? Did the fans choose great songs for the show to remix? Is it great to hear Puck, Quinn and Brittany again, as well as Kristen Chenoweth and Gwyneth Paltrow)? And of the remixed songs, do you prefer the original covers or these new versions?
