Madonna, Beyonce, Tina Turner. All are considered divas. And that’s what this week’s Glee is all about, when New Directions is tasked with bringing out their inner divas, while performing songs by some of the biggest female stars around. (This would’ve been a good episode to have Mercedes on, don’t you think?)
Glee Video: The Girls (and Blaine) Perform Beyonce’s “Diva” >>>
Here’s the song list for Thursday’s “Diva”: Beyonce’s “Diva,” “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables, Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” Madonna’s “Hung Up,” Barbra Streisand and Kim Carnes’ “Make No Mistake, She’s Mine,” Ike and Tina Turner’s “Nutbush City Limits” and Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire.” Is it a coincidence that they’re covering Beyonce and Alicia Keys after the two just performed at the Super Bowl?
“Diva” — Unique, Brittany, Tina, Blaine, Marley & Kitty
“Bring Him Home” — Kurt
“Bring Him Home” — Rachel
“Don’t Stop Me Now” — Blaine
“Hung Up” — Tina
“Make No Mistake, She’s Mine” — Santana & Sam
“Nutbush City Limits” — Santana
“Girl on Fire” — Santana
Which of these covers is your favorite? And based on the song choice for Santana and Sam’s duet, will Santana try to make sure Sam doesn’t go out with Brittany?
Glee airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX.
