In this new preview video for next Tuesday’s Michael Jackson tribute episode, Blaine poses this question to Artie, Kurt, Rachel and Santana as they sit around sipping coffee at the Lima Bean. Check it out below:
Artie recounts what his first words were as a baby. Kurt, of course, brings up fashion and a certain military jacket. Rachel, on the other hand? “I never really got him.” What do you mean you never really got him, Rachel? I guess that’s not so surprising since she’s more of a Barbra than an MJ. Artie’s not happy with her response.
As Rachel tries to explain her reasoning, Sebastian crashes the party, so to speak, and announces that New Directions might want to rethink their set list because the Warblers will be doing Michael Jackson at Regionals. How did this all come about? Let’s just say Blaine’s going to be in a lot of trouble.
And Santana’s confrontation with Sebastian at the end of the scene looks like the set-up for their duet of “Smooth Criminal.”
