This Thursday, FOX is airing the episode of Glee everyone is bracing themselves for and grabbing the tissues ahead of time for — it’s the tribute to Cory Monteith and the character he played, Finn. In a new interview, Lea Michele is breaking her silence about her on and off screen boyfriend. Also in today’s Roundup, an episode featuring only Billy Joel songs will be coming this fall. And was Dianna Agron not invited to the Cory Monteith tribute because the cast and crew don’t like her?

Lea Michele Talks About Cory Monteith
Glee star Lea Michele is breaking her silence about Cory Monteith, telling TV Week Australia, “I feel like, for me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn. We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sang and people spoke about him. It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic.” She said she hasn’t watched the tribute episode yet, but added that “We did it because it was something we all needed to do together.”
After delaying the start of production on season 5 after the late actor’s passing, fans were wondering how the cast were able to commence filming following such a tragic loss. “Everyone is asking, ‘Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?'” Michele said. “But the truth is it’s no harder at work than it is in life so we might as well all be be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together.”
When she looks back on her time with Monteith, she continued by saying, “I really woke up every single day feeling like I was being in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him in my life. I feel like what happened with Cory (the cause of his death) was [small] in the scheme of who he was and his life.”
She finished by sharing how grateful she is. “There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together I consider myself very lucky.”
Glee Planning Billy Joel Tribute
Just when we thought we’d have a break from tribute episodes following the two-part Beatles extravaganza, Ryan Murphy and Co. are at it again. Rumors have been spreading lately about an episode devoted to the Piano Man, and now Billy Joel himself, via his website, has confirmed that it is happening — and will air on November 21 in an episode titled “Movin’ Out.”
The song list has also been verified: “Movin’ Out,” “Piano Man,” “My Life,” “Honesty,” “An Innocent Man” and “Just the Way You Are.” We don’t know yet who will be singing which songs, but rumor has it “Movin’ Out” will be performed by Sam and Blaine.
Speaking of songs, this is the reported song list for episode 5, “The End of Twerk,” which will air a week before the Billy Joel tribute: “You Are Woman, I Am Man” from Funny Girl, Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” Beyonce’s “If I Were a Boy,” Miley Cyrus‘ “Wrecking Ball” and a song called “On Our Way,” though it’s unclear at this point who the original artist is.

Does the Glee Cast Hate Dianna Agron?
Everyone has been wondering why Dianna Agron didn’t participate in the Cory Monteith tribute, especially since Quinn was Finn’s boyfriend at one point on the show.
She was apparently not invited, and RadarOnline is now saying that it’s because the cast and crew don’t like the actress. Lea Michele and Ryan Murphy reportedly “intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible,” according to an insider. “They never saw her as a team player. They simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode.”
But a source is contradicting that report, telling E! News the rumors about the cast and crew not liking her are not true at all. “She is still very much a part of the Glee family and always welcome.” One example to back this up is that Agron attended the private memorial service for Monteith back in July.
Glee insiders are claiming she didn’t take part because of “scheduling issues.” The source went on to say, “Heather Morris isn’t in it either because of her pregnancy. We included everyone we possibly could given [their] schedules.”
Regardless of the real reason for her absence, let’s hope we can all come together to say farewell to Cory Monteith and Finn.
