Paying tribute to Saturday Night Fever didn’t bring in the viewers. Maybe some Whitney will do it. Next Tuesday, the cast will take on seven of the late Whitney Houston’s hit songs throughout the hour in “Dance With Somebody.”
FOX has released the first video preview from the episode, and it’s a big one: Rachel, Kurt, Mercedes and Santana performing essentially an a cappella version of “How Will I Know.” If we can gauge anything about the episode just by this one preview, then it’ll be a good one, indeed.
Check it out for yourself below:
Did you feel the emotion coming out of the students here? It’s not too early to start getting out the tissues. Back when this Whitney tribute was first announced, a source told E! that this “will not be a typical tribute. It’s using Whitney’s music as a way to say goodbye. A way to respectfully say thank you for her music.” Graduation is right around the corner, and as the promos have been saying, it’s time for the goodbyes to begin.
What did you think of this first preview video? A sign of good things to come? Or still too early to be doing a Whitney Houston tribute?
