Who’s ready for some Samuel Larsen? The Glee Project winner will be making his debut in tomorrow night’s episode. The episode is fittingly titled “Heart,” since it is not only the show’s Valentine’s Day episode, but also his character’s last name, though with a different spelling (Joe Hart). Creator Ryan Murphy mentioned on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live recently that Larsen would be performing two songs in his debut episode.
Take a look at him performing “Stereo Hearts” (OK, I think we get it that all the heart references means this is for Valentine’s Day); I believe his second song will be as part of the ensemble number. We see him performing with Mercedes and Sam in the outdoor courtyard area where students can eat lunch and hang out. I guess at this point, students at McKinley High aren’t surprised anymore when a choir pops up out of nowhere to join New Directions.
But I’m sure the appearance that everyone is anticipating the most is by Rachel’s two dads. In the below clip, we see Hiram and LeRoy (played by Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell) make a hilarious entrance to surprise Rachel and Finn.
“We agreed to sing it straight, no vocal runs. That’s how Jennifer Hudson got kicked off of American Idol.” Hilarious! I hope they provide a lot of great comedic moments in “Heart.”
Who are you looking forward to most on Glee, Samuel Larsen or Rachel’s dads? Based on the above scene, do you think Goldblum and Mitchell are perfect for these roles?
Glee airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
