This week’s episode of Glee will pay tribute to the music of Billy Joel. Our favorite characters from both Ohio and New York are performing iconic songs like “Movin’ Out,” “Piano Man,” “You May Be Right” and “Just the Way You Are.”
Not only that, but Sam and Blaine will head to New York so that Sam can look into a modeling career after he graduates. (I’m sure Blaine is in search of his post-high school plans as well.) And that’s where the following video comes in. FOX has released a clip from tonight’s episode, “Movin’ Out.”
Sam and Blaine are at Rachel, Kurt and Santana’s apartment, just relaxing it seems. Santana starts off by wondering why everything ends with a performance. (Have you noticed how self-aware Glee has been lately, bringing up either weaknesses or other components that fans have pointed out first? I know they’ve done it before, but it’s happened a lot more in the past several weeks.)
She says, “This is what’s going to happen: every argument or discussion or meal from now on, it’s going to end in a freaking’ sing-along.”
And guess what happens? Yes, they all break into song. But Satana’s not into it; she wants things to be peaceful and quiet at their home. But does she cave in eventually? Check out the gang performing Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are.”
Which did you think of Rachel, Kurt, Santana, Sam and Blaine performing this Billy Joel hit? Was it nice to see some of the high schoolers mingling again with those who have already graduated?
Glee airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX.
