After you’re done watching Bravo’s Glee-centered episode of Inside the Actors Studio tonight, we then have the return of Glee tomorrow night. Afterwards, you can flip on over to BIO Channel at 9pm for a Biography special called Glee: Keep On Believin’ (originally titled Glee: Don’t Stop Believin’).
According to BIO, “From concept and casting to never-before-told stories from production, [Biography: Glee: Keep On Believin’] delivers all the insider information every Gleek is dying to know.”
This will be a one-hour special featuring interviews and behind-the-scenes footage all about … you guessed it, Glee! Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jayma Mays, Chris Colfer, Dianna Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz, Darren Criss and Mike O’Malley will be interviewed, as well as appearances by the creators and executive producers, Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk.
Preview videos from this special have been released, courtesy of BIO. Check them out below.
First up, we get an introduction to what Glee is about and how it originated, from Ian Brennan writing the script to the show being pitched to 20th Century FOX and finally casting the characters. The cast also reflects on the mix between comedy and drama, as well as the success of the show that began with “Don’t Stop Believin'” heading to the top of the charts.
Next, the cast talk about a wide array of topics, from their first mall tour and finding out how thankful the viewers were for portraying characters just like them to the success of the show once it officially premiered in September 2009. Matthew Morrison mentions what it was like to see his face on a billboard for the first time, and Chris Colfer made a mistake the first time he signed an autograph.
What would Glee be without Kurt? As many of us already know, the character of Kurt did not exist originally. But when Ryan Murphy witnessed Chris Colfer‘s audition, they got rid of a previously existing character and replaced him with Kurt, played by Colfer. We also see a little glimpse of the audition in the below video.
Chris Colfer‘s not the only one who auditioned for another character initially. Even though he didn’t join the show until season 2, did you know that Darren Criss had tried out for the role of Finn? Imagine how different Glee would be with these different casting choices?
Glee: Keep On Believin’ airs tomorrow night at 9pm, with an encore at 10pm, on BIO Channel.
