Score one for Tim Gunn. As if you needed another reason to love the silver fox, check out what he had to say about his experience working with the infamous Taylor Momsen on the set of Gossip Girl.
In a recent interview with E! Tim Gunn had some powerful words for the lead singer of Pretty Reckless. He said: “What a diva! She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘why are we all being held hostage by this brat?'” He went on to say: “She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, ‘If you weren’t on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.'”
Tim brings up a good point. Why is Momsen still on Gossip Girl? Jenny hasn’t been interesting since the first season and even then she was still pretty annoying. Meanwhile, Momsen has publicly stated that her music is more important than her acting. Why don’t producers let her focus on her budding music career and spare us any more Jenny/Momsen drama? Perhaps producers like that she is generating a fair amount of buzz for the show but I’m not sure her presence is good for morale. She has said recently that she has no friends on the set and it is clear her bad behavior isn’t winning her any new friends.
When Gunn was asked what he would say to Momsen if he had the chance, he ripped into her the only way Gunn does anything, classy. “I’d say, ‘You know young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?”
Will one of those “hundreds of thousands of attractive and smart girls” Gunn mentioned please step up to the plate and take Taylor Momsen’s place!
