When BuddyTV reported on Friday that Miley Cyrus was dating her Hannah Montana co-star Cody Linley, we may have spoken too soon. In early September, the two were photographed leaving his L.A. pad together. Linley had the perfect explanation for her visit, telling the San Francisco Chroncicle, “She came over, and Miley, my roommate and I all painted. We splatter-painted. Right now, we’re just very close friends.” Linley is telling the truth, and it looks like the pair are not dating at all. He’s keeping busy with his upcoming appearance on Dancing With The Stars, competing with partner Julianne Hough. Meanwhile, Miley’s been spotted spending time with a 20-year-old underwear model.
According to People magazine, Miley has been spending some quality time with Justin Gaston. He was a contestant on this season’s Nashville Star, which Miley’s dad Billy Ray hosted. He didn’t last long, getting eliminated in the third week of the competition, and finished in 10th place. Gaston is originally from Pineville, Louisiana but was reportedly visiting Los Angeles this week. He has modeled underwear but his true passion is music. “My style isn’t like anyone else,” he told People of his music. “If John Mayer was to meet Brad Paisley and they reproduced, that would be me.”
Yesterday, Miley and Justin were spotted heading to church together in Pasadena before heading out together later that night. The pair showed up at Disney’s Concert for Hope, a benefit concert for the City of Hope, a cancer center. Miley performed along with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato.
Miley’s rep denies that the two are a couple, calling Gaston, “a friend from Nashville” but a source close to the Hannah Montana star admitted that the pair have been “spending a lot of time together while he’s in town”. Gaston’s rep, though, told People that the aspiring singer has had a crush on country singer Taylor Swift for quite some time, who he met on Nashville Star. He even starred in the music video for her latest song, “Love Story”.
