Having a widely successful career on both the small screen and the big screen has not protected Miley Cyrus from enemies in the industry. If anything, her fame has attracted quite a number of attacks from both the press and the public. But this time, it’s comedian Jamie Foxx who took a turn on the Hannah Montana star.
On the Sirius satellite radio show, Foxx launched quite a rude tirade towards Miley Cyrus. It all began when a caller brought up her feud with the band Radiohead after she wasn’t allowed to visit them during the recent Grammy Awards. The listener even related the story of how she vowed to “ruin” the band afterwards.
Upon mention of Cyrus’ name, Foxx blurted out: “Who is Miley Cyrus? The one with all the gums? She need to get a gum transplant!” He might’ve meant it as a joke, but show business won’t be show business if it wasn’t for celebrity feuds.
Foxx continued by giving the 16-year-old pop superstar some not-so-friendly advice. He said, “Make a sex tape and grow up! Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe.”
The 41-year-old actor went on to say even more crude remarks, and it doesn’t look as if he’s sorry for it. It’s all in good fun after all. In a way, he’s welcoming Cyrus into the nasty streets of Hollywood, which could mean that she’s truly on her way to stardom. That is, before she might head down to a decline in her career.
We’re not predicting (or hoping) that Miley, who is being looked up to by millions, will end up like any of the celebrities Foxx mentioned. However, you might want to rethink that after seeing what she’s been up to these past few months.
Still, it’s a slight upon the Disney princess, and a source says that Billy Ray isn’t taking it too well either. “He thinks Jamie was out of line and didn’t find any humor in it,” said the insider. “Billy Ray isn’t going to say anything publicly because he doesn’t want to this to escalate. He wishes it would just go away.”
As for Foxx’s apology, his rep says it’s on the way and that his client really planned on releasing a statement. He did, however, excuse Foxx’s behavior by saying we should remember that “Jamie’s show is a comedy.”
