Visiting the set of Heroes while they’re filming the sixth episode of season 3 is a bit like putting together a jigsaw puzzle without the box – you have all the pieces, but you have no clue what the picture is. During BuddyTV’s visit, I saw the cast and crew film two short scenes that, combined, will probably amount to less than 30 seconds of screentime. Yet I had a thousand questions about what was going on.
Why were Nathan and Niki in a car together? Didn’t they both die at the end of season 2? And what is Hiro doing in a magic shop? After some hard-hitting investigative reporting, I discovered the answers to these and many other questions. As you can see, there’s plenty of talk about the big changes ahead for season 3, namely the aspect of heroes and villains, drawing the lines in the sand. In addition, as you might tell, Adrian Pasdar is a huge goofball. Nathan Petrelli is so stiff that is was exciting to see the actor behind the role is just someone who loves to put on big goofy glasses and have some fun.
Every Monday from now until the big Heroes season 3 premiere on September 22, BuddyTV will bring a new exclusive video from our set visit. We’ll have interviews with Pasdar, Masi Oka and executive producer/director Allan Arkush. There will also be some great behind-the-scenes footage to give you a hint of the storylines to come.
For now, I can only say that Ali Larter is not Niki, Jessica or Gina, but rather a new character who may or may not be another fractured personality of the same woman. And in the fifth episode of season 3, Hiro will stab someone, and it’s not who you’d think.
