It’s just like a game of ping-pong, this Arrested Development movie thing.  One says it’s unsure, another says it’s on, and another says it isn’t.  Whenever I write about this, I feel bad for everybody, because nothing new is being gleaned from anything.  But hey, it’s my job.

So, Jeffrey Tambor.  He’s one of the guys that said the movie is on.  He’s also aware that his on-screen grandson, Michael Cera, is the only one holding off from the film.  Well, the younger Bluth is changing tact, saying in a previous interview with MTV (which I haven’t seen, weirdly) that he’s actually just waiting for a script before he can commit, which makes things complicated, because series creator Mitch Hurwitz said he’ll wait for the cast before writing a script.

With that, well, I’m not sure where things really are.  Tambor told the New York Daily News that the movie is definitely on.  “If I have to call him up and say, ‘Get on set right now, young man,’ he’ll be there,” he said.  “The movie is going to happen this year, and Michael Cera is on board.  Trust me.”

But that was cryptic, too.  Oh, what will really happen?  Fans like me are starting to, err, clench their fists in confusion.
