Fugitive clones! Hallucinogenic chewing gum! Lost children at the Canadian National Exhibition! Rhino Entertainment released a special treat for devotees of misunderstood cinema as a salute to the twisted genius of the award-winning cult television program, Mystery Science Theater 3000. The treat is a quartet of unreleased episodes starring Mystery Science Theater 3000‘s crew of wisecrackers Joel, Mike, Tom Servo and Crow.
BuddyTV is proudly giving away one copy of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Volume 12 box set to one of our lucky fans. Read on to see how you can win, and to watch some clips from the collection.
Go to the Mystery Science Theater contest thread in the BuddyTV forums and reply with your answer to the question “Would you rather be a secret agent or have a clone of yourself and why?” BuddyTV editors will select the forum member with the best response to be the winner of the contest. You have until Tuesday, November 20th at 11:59am ET/8:59am PT to reply. At that time, the thread will be closed and a winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
This four-disc boxed set contains four unaired episodes featuring the deliciously awful films: The Rebel Set, Secret Agent Super Dragon, The Starfighters, and Parts: The Clonus Horror. The set’s special features include original theatrical trailers; another dose of musical mayhem with the MST3K Video Jukebox; wraparound segments with Jack Perkins from the Mystery Science Theater Hour; and interviews with Don Sullivan, star of The Rebel Set, and Robert Fiveson, director of Parts: The Clonus Horror. More information on the set can be found here.
