Previously on House, Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), with a little help from Cameron, finally made the decision on which candidates he’s going to permanently hire in the episode “Games,” which aired on November 27, 2007.
Soon, fans will be able to enjoy a new episode of the medical drama in which House’s old team and the new team, consisting of Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn), and Thirteen (Olivia Wilde), will celebrate the holidays together in the episode “It’s a Wonderful Lie,” which is expected to air on January 29. To ease the long wait, Jennifer Morrison sheds light on what the future holds for her character Allison Cameron.
“For me, the storylines have been so removed from the central stuff that I feel like I’m on a different show. I’m like, ‘Well, I live in the ER now.’ I’ve got my own little world going on down there. Now that they have established the three that are staying, it’ll be interesting to see how they start to pick up the rhythm and get their footing with all of us. We’re all still waiting to see how that’s going to work,” Morrison told TV Guide.
While the hiring of the new team on House makes way for diverse personalities and new storylines, Morrison reveals that the show’s original fellows and the newcomers aren’t lost on her.
“I think they’re blatant,” she said. “To me, Thirteen is very much like Cameron and Kal Penn is very much like Chase [Jesse Spencer] and Taub is very much like Foreman [Omar Epps]. They even dress like us. I don’t know if that was intentional, or if it was a subconscious rollover, but it seems like they’re fitting into that same mold.”
Though Morrison remains optimistic about the future of House, she also admits to having thoughts about the direction she’d like to see her character go in.
“I don’t think they really need anyone but me on the show,” she joked. “Me and [House] could just go and have an affair. We could go and be doctors in Africa somewhere and save the world.”
