Imagine you are the captain of a nuclear submarine and you receive orders through an unusual communication channel to nuke a country. Do you follow through on this mysterious command? Last Resort follows the crew of the ballistic missile submarine, the Colorado, after Captain Marcus Chaplin (Andre Braugher) and his XO Sam Kendal (Scott Speedman) disobey an order to wipe out a country with one of the sub’s nuclear missiles.
In response, the United States military launches an attack against its own submarine. The Colorado is damaged, but not out of the game. With their own country against them, the captain takes his crew to an island and declares they are a sovereign nation armed with nuclear weapons.
With the crews’ lives at risk, Captain Chaplin is pushed to the brink. How far will he go to protect his people? Why was the Colorado attacked by its own country? The crew will not only have to deal with this mystery, but figure out a way to integrate themselves on the island.
The Last Resort premiere is an intense military and political thriller. From the minds of Shawn Ryan (The Shield, The Unit, The Chicago Code) and Karl Gajdusek (Trespass, Dead Like Me), Last Resort has an amazing ensemble cast that includes Daisy Betts (Persons Unknown), Autumn Reeser (No Ordinary Family), Robert Patrick (The Unit), and Dichen Lachman (Dollhouse).
Last Resort officially premieres September 27th at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC. You can watch it early now through September 17th below.
