The second wave of nominations for the 2014 Teen Choice Awards have been announced. On the TV side, Pretty Little Liars leads the pack with five nominations.
Seven shows are tied for second with three nominations each: Glee, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, Baby Daddy, Sleepy Hollow, Reign and Chasing Life. Some of the bigger TV categories have shows like Sleepy Hollow, Reign and Chasing Life competing against each other for Breakout Show, and Girl Meets World, So You Think You Can Dance, Under the Dome and others are all up for Choice Summer TV Show.
For movies, 22 Jump Street is far and away in the lead with seven nominations, which is interesting consider how many big action/adventure and sci-fi films are up for awards. Transformers: Age of Extinction and The Fault in Our Stars follow with four, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, Divergent, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Captain America: The Winter Soldier next with three.
In the music categories, as always there are nominations by singing competition show contestants and judges, including American Idol‘s Carrie Underwood, The X Factor‘s Fifth Harmony, The Voice coach Adam Levine’s band Maroon 5 and new Voice coach Pharrell Williams.
Also, Meryl Davis, who won the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars, is up for Choice Female Athlete.
If you’re 13-19 years old, you can vote for all your favorite here. Voting ends on August 9.
The 2014 Teen Choice Awards will air Sunday, August 10 at 8pm on FOX.
