Rocker Bret Michaels will be guest starring and performing on Revolution. And Victor Garber has been cast as a certain someone’s father on Sleepy Hollow. Bret Michaels performing on Revolution: It looks like the lead singer for Poison has survived the apocalypse because he’ll be guest starring as a fictional version of himself in a season 2 episode airing in 2014. And what song is he performing? None other than the only tune he ever seems to belt out on TV, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Creator Eric Kripke said in a press release, “Bret is truly a great guy. I’m a huge fan of his music and I’m thrilled he’s appearing on Revolution.”
Victor Garber cast as a father on Sleepy Hollow: Ichabod Crane’s father, to be precise. The Alias alum will pop up in at least one episode, according to TVLine. And while we don’t know any more details than that, Crane did mention his father in the November 25 episode — Garber’s character was an Oxford professor, and during one particular holiday break, the two got to spend some quality time together.
Matthew Goode joining The Good Wife: The Watchmen star has signed on for what TVLine notes is a “major” recurring role. His character is a prosecutor who wants to change his career and ends up meeting Alicia along the way. He’ll first appear in the spring.
Alex Kingston returning to Arrow: The actress first played Laurel Lance’s mother, Dinah, in season 1, and will return in episode 14 of the current season, reports TV Guide. When she first appeared, she didn’t believe that Sarah was dead. Star Stephen Amell tweeted, “Working with an actor for the first time today,” referring to Kingston.
Dan Hedaya is Danny’s father on The Mindy Project: His episode, co-written by Mindy Kaling and Tracy Wigfield, will air in January, notes Vulture. His character’s name is Alan Castellano and he lives in Joshua Tree, CA. Nothing else is known about this role, except that Richie, Danny’s brother, mentioned in last week’s episode that he had met up with his “deadbeat dad.”
Barbara Hershey reprising OUAT role on Wonderland: Ever since Once Upon a Time announced a spin-off set in Wonderland, fans everywhere were clamoring for news that Hershey would be playing the Queen of Hearts again. The executive producers have said they plan on doing just that, and now it’s been confirmed, according to TV Guide. Unless things change, it will unfortunately only be a one-time appearance: in episode 11.
John Corbett returns as Sarah’s ex on Parenthood: His character, Seth, will appear in episode 13, as reported by TV Guide, when Amber goes looking for him for advice about Ryan, but along the way she gets in a fight with someone at his restaurant.
Adam Brody is a stay-at-home father on New Girl: The OC alum shows up in episode 14 as Berkeley, one of Jess’ ex-boyfriends. E! Online describes his character as a “hip, stay-at-home dad” who has “mastered the art of being an ex.”
The Beast heads to the courtroom on Law and Order: SVU: Pablo Schreiber’s William Lewis will make a return appearance in the episode airing on January 8 (titled “Psycho Therapist”) after having tortured Benson. Executive producers Warren Leight and Julie Martin told TV Guide, “He’ll again be tormenting Det. Olivia Benson. Although he’s the one on trial, he turns it into hers.” Schreiber added, “This episode is another Benson and Lewis face-off. The meat of the episode are the scenes between the two of them. He tries to prey on what he perceives to be her greatest weakness.”
Amy Brenneman cast as Mary’s mother on Reign: Things are about to heat up on the CW period drama when the Private Practice alum shows up as Marie de Guise. Executive Producer Laurie McCarthy said in a statement, “In a time when women held very little power, Marie ruled a nation under siege. … Amy’s character will face off with Megan Follows’ character (Catherine de Medici), not to mention her own daughter, Mary. Hearts will break and blood will spill as a major battle of wits ensues.”
