Fans of Glee are called Gleeks. I don’t know what fans of Smash would be called … Smashers? Wait, that doesn’t sound right. But anyway, I know that us fans of Smash are looking forward to episode 3, “Enter Mr. DiMaggio,” coming up next Monday, when the Marilyn: The Musical team seek out their Joe DiMaggio to be paired up with Ivy’s Marilyn.
But outside of this new storyline, already established tensions and conflicts will continue with Derek, Karen and her boyfriend; Julia and Ellis; and Eileen and Jerry. Take a look at three new clips from episode 3 featuring these characters.
As we’ve seen in a TV promo spot, Derek offers Karen a spot in the ensemble. But someone shows up unexpectedly to crash the party:
In the first two episodes, we’ve seen the start of a possible butting of heads confrontation between Julia and Ellis. In this clip, it comes out in full force:
Eileen may be in the middle of divorcing her husband, but now he’s trying to meddle in Marilyn:
The three songs to be featured in this episode are “Grenade,” “Redneck Woman” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” (an original). Here’s the video performance of Karen taking on the Gretchen Wilson country hit:

According to FOX, next Monday, “The search begins for a Joe DiMaggio to play opposite Marilyn – but everyone’s first choice, Michael, has a secret. Karen must decide what she wants for her future. Eileen begins rounding up investors – but ex-husband Jerry may already have poisoned the well.”
