Lost star Harold Perrineau has found a new gig. The actor best known for playing Michael Dawson on the hit ABC series has landed a major role in FX’s Sons of Anarchy for the show’s upcoming fifth season.
Perrineau will play Damon Pope, a former drug kingpin who will certainly have his sights set on the motorcycle club since Tig killed his daughter in the fourth season finale. He joins Jimmy Smits, who was previously cast in Sons of Anarchy season 5.
Sons of Anarchy is no stranger to featuring Lost stars. Katey Sagal had a memorable role on Lost as John Locke’s girlfriend and the Man in Black (Titus Welliver) played a previous Sons bad guy, Jimmy O’Phlena.
Sons of Anarchy season 5 will begin in the fall, most likely the first week of September, which is when the show always debuts.
