On a show like Supernatural, you just know that the stars are going to play around a little bit. Days spent fighting fictional monsters and dealing with the grueling schedule of TV production make fun necessary. During a recent visit to the show’s set, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki all took time during interviews to have a little fun.
These video clips are the proof of that.
NOTE: Each of these video clips of Supernatural stars are part of longer interviews conducted on a set visit courtesy of Warner Bros. I promise that you will, at some point, see more of the interviews, full of Supernatural spoilers and good stuff like that. But you can’t see those parts now. Sorry.
The first of the Supernatural video clips features Jensen Ackles — Dean Winchester himself — issuing a challenge against the show’s former Friday-night rival, Fringe. Check it out below:
In case you were wondering, Fringe and Supernatural both film in Vancouver, Canada, and we reporters visited both shows’ sets on the same day. Alas — and unfortunately — there is no response from Joshua Jackson with regard to Jensen Ackles‘ shout-out.
The second video clip features Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) at the end of a very, very long day of filming. The actor seriously did need a beer at that point.
While I cannot condone Jared Padalecki’s choice of beer (I’m not a fan of Coors Light), I do respect his desire to drink one. This interview was, after all, conducted after 9pm. He was kind of tired.
The final Supernatural interview clip features Misha Collins. I can’t yet reveal to you whether or not his character of Castiel will make much of a return to the show this fall, but I can say that he was very eager to chat with reporters on the Superntural set.
Of course, Collins did spend a fair amount of time abusing his co-star, Jared Padalecki. See how in this video:
It really is a good thing that Misha Collins didn’t drive away with an unscrewed roof-rack. That’s the kind of thing that can end very, very badly. On the other hand, it’s amusing to know that practical jokes are apparently commonplace on the Supernatural set.
Want more? Unfortunately, you will have to wait until a date closer to the Supernatural season 8 premiere of Wednesday, October 10 at 9pm on The CW.
