Though there are few summer-only shows, the whole season can be a bit boring for TV fans. There is nowhere near the same volume of content in the months of July and August as there is during the rest of the year. So if you’re feeling a little out of sorts and in for a little stimulation, Supernatural’s Misha Collins has got you covered. If you are not already on board, now is the perfect time to get in on the Supernatural star’s Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen, otherwise known as GISHWHES.

Though GISHWHES has been running for a few years, People.com sat down with Misha to talk about this year’s competition. The hunt will run from July 30 to August 7 and will contain a number of ridiculous and hilarious tasks. Last year, tasks included a meteorologist delivering the weather dressed as a superhero in drag and someone constructing a portrait of Robert Downey Jr. made entirely of salt and pepper. GISHWHES is less about finding things out in the world and rather about making whatever Collins and his fellow helpers dream up.

The Supernatural actor explained, “For the four months leading up to GISHWHES, it’s mind-boggling how much work goes into it. We’re planning and coming up with ideas. We try to do unconventional things to drum up interest in the hunt. It takes quite a lot of work.”

Though Supernatural fans who are aware of Misha Collins outside of the show shouldn’t be surprised he is into something as weird as GISHWHES, it’s not just for the actor’s entertainment. People enter the hunt in teams of 15. These teams can be arranged randomly as well, leading to situations in which a team can have a celebrity like William Shatner. Each member of the team has to pay $18.89 to join. This fee will go to charity and help people around the world.

As for the grand prize winner AKA the team that gains the most points on the GISHWHES list, which will be released on July 30 of this year, they get a trip with the Supernatural star. Last year the winning team got to go Costa Rica with Collins. This year he is offering up an Icelandic trip and he promises “dog sledding on a glacier, partying inside a volcano and thermal hot springs water fights.”

If you are interested you can sign up for GISHWHES alone or in a team, right here.

Will you be signing up for GISHWHES? Have you already done so? Is this your first year or have you done it before?
