It looks like the CW has an actor-exchange program. After the recent announcement that Supernatural‘s Misha Collins will guest star on Ringer, now Jason Dohring (currently on Ringer) will make an appearance on Supernatural.
According to TVLine, the former Veronica Mars and Moonlight star will play Chronos, the god of time. He’ll show up in the season’s 12th episode, which is also the episode where The X-Files vet Nicholas Lea will play Eliot Ness. More likely than not, Dohring’s character has something to do with Sam and Dean’s time travel.
Dohring is the latest in a long line of Veronica Mars stars to pop up on Supernatural. He follows Charisma Carpenter (who plays Dohring’s much older lover), Alona Tal and, strangely enough, Paris Hilton.
It should also appease the Moonlight fans who’ve most likely been eager to see Dohring return to a sci-fi/fantasy series.
Supernatural airs Fridays at 9pm on the CW.
