The CW is still keeping it all in the family. After Supernatural and Ringer swapped guest stars (Misha Collins for Jason Dohring), now it looks like the show is doing the same thing with The Vampire Diaries.
Following the successful run of Sebastian Roche (who played the angel Balthazar) as Mikael on The Vampire Diaries, now TVLine is reporting that former TVD star Sara Canning is coming to Supernatural.
Canning will play Lydia, a woman who is fortunate enough to have a one-night stand with Dean. There’s been talk on the show recently about Dean’s dry spell and how he’s seemingly turned from women to booze as hice vice of choice, but at least by the 13th episode of season 7, Dean will get back on the horse.
Canning was a series regular for the first two seasons of The Vampire Diaries as Aunt Jenna, though she was killed off at the end of season 2. She also had a small recurring role on the CW’s Smallville.
Supernatural‘s mid-season finale airs Friday at 9pm on the CW.
