Supernatural is no stranger to historical figures. Last season the show introduced legendary gunmaker Samuel Colt, and this season famous Prohibition agent Eliot Ness will join the series.
According to TVLine, The X-Files veteran Nicholas Lea has been cast as the iconic federal agent in the 12th episode of season 7, airing January 13. Obviously the presence of a historical figure means the Winchester brothers will be time traveling once again. They’ll also learn that Ness didn’t just hunt bootleggers, he hunted monsters too.
Lea follows another X-Files star on Supernatural after Mitch Pileggi appeared last season as Sam and Dean’s grandfather.
There has been a long list of actors to portray Ness. Kevin Costner did it in the film The Untouchables, while Robert Stack and Everwood‘s Tom Amandes played him on TV.
Supernatural airs Firdyas at 9pm on the CW.
