If you thought a Supernatural episode about reapers and death was going to be all scares, think again. The CW released three video clips from this Thursdays brand-new episode of Supernatural, “Death Takes a Holiday,” and they are most definitely entertaining.
Not only does “Death Takes a Holiday” mark the return of Supernatural after a five-week hiatus, but it also brings the villainous Alastair back into the picture. If that’s not enough, Weeds star Alexander Gould also shows up. Continue reading for more details and to watch the videos.
Here’s the official CW description: “Sam and Dean investigate a small town where people are cheating death. They discover the Reapers have gone missing so they turn to Pamela for help. She sends them into the spiritual world to find answers and they come face to face with Alastair, who has been kidnapping all the Reapers in order to break another seal.”
In this first clip, Dean puts his entire fist into Sam’s body. That could be gross, it could be traumatic, but actually it’s just absolutely hilarious.
The second clip looks a bit like a deleted scene from Lost, because it features a giant Black Smoke Monster coming in and taking someone away.
The final clip is my personal favorite, and I suspect it will be your favorite too. A 12-year-old ghost boy (played by Weeds star and the voice of Nemo the fish Alexander Gould) slaps the crap out of Sam and Dean.
“Death Takes a Holiday” airs this Thursday at 9pm on the CW.
