CBS has become the latest network to announce spring 2014 finale dates for its shows. Most end in May, as usual, but two will close out in April and there are even some shows ending as early as the end of March.
How I Met Your Mother kicks everything off with its previously announced one-hour series finale on March 31. Mid-season drama Intelligence is closing out its freshman run the same night.

The Crazy Ones will become the second CBS show to get an expanded finale, airing on April 17. And Mom is also ending in April.
Survivor fans should take note that this season’s finale will be airing on its normal night, Wednesday (May 21), instead of Sunday, which is when the reality show has usually announced its winners for the past 12 years. This is likely due to the Olympics forcing CBS to premiere Survivor later than normal. And as a result, there’s no Sunday nights available during May sweeps, which also ends on May 21.
Survivor has had a resurgence in viewership this season, so CBS doesn’t seem to be afraid of airing its finale opposite the season 13 finale of American Idol, which has seen a decrease in ratings yet again.

CBS recently renewed 18 of its shows in one huge announcement, with The Big Bang Theory getting a three-season renewal at around the same time. The only shows we don’t yet know the fates of are The Crazy Ones, The Mentalist, Hostages and Intelligence. The Crazy Ones and Hostages are expected to be cancelled, with the other two not looking too good at the moment either.
