The newest season of The Celebrity Apprentice starts this Sunday, March 1st at 9pm. In the newest round of Donald Trump’s ridiculous exercises in business smarts, 16 new so-called celebrities will be competing to become the newest apprentice and win money for their respective charities. This year’s is an interesting, if not surprising, mix of contestants, too: we have singers, basketball players, poker players, and another non-stranger to the reality business. Competing this year:
Tionne Watkins (T-Boz)
Herschel Walker
Dennis Rodman
Brande Roderick
Melissa Rivers
Joan Rivers
Brian McKnight
Claudia Jordan
Khloe Kardashian
Jesse James
Scott Hamilton
Natalie Gulbis
Tom Green
Annie Duke
Andrew Dice Clay
Clint Black
We have eight preview clips from the first episode. It looks like the men’s team will be an absolute mess this season, although I’m sure the women will start going for each other’s throats very soon. In the first episode, the celebrities will be split into two teams: the men’s team and the women’s team just like last season.
In our first clip, we see Donald Trump welcome cast.
We see the women choose their team name and their project manager. It’s a little glimpse into why Joan Rivers is going to be so amazing this season.
Donald Trump welcomes the cast into their first boardroom session. He points out that the men seem uneasy with each other. Dennis Rodman also looks like he’s hating this whole thing.
I cannot wait to see the outcome of this: Andrew Dice Clay tells Donald Trump that it’s his fault the men are unhappy in the competition… Sort of. We all know that Trump will just explode at that accusation.
The men are quite cocky this season. I can’t really blame them. They do have some more recognizable faces, if not more recognizable names. I’ll be honest though, I did not recognize Brian McKnight at all. How old is he?
The main challenge of the episode is a cupcake bake sale. Each team has a certain amount of time to bake all the cupcakes and come up with a sales plan. This is the women’s team falling apart.
Below, the men’s team falls apart. I don’t know about you, but I doubt that their quick fix will work.
Brande Roderick shows her value by coming up with the age-old Playboy plan. Good ol’ Hef buys several thousand dollars worth of cupcakes for the women’s team. That will definitely be hard to beat. My guess is that the women take this first challenge. Which is awesome because that means Joan will definitely be around one more week!
So, tune in to The Celebrity Apprentice this Sunday night. I’m sure hilarity will ensue.
