First, let me just celebrate Wes’ long overdue departure. It was pretty obvious that the chemistry between Wes and Jillian had diminished by week 8 and it was quite apparent that he was the one going home by the end of the Rose Ceremony. And in spite of knowing all that, I still opted to stick around and take pleasure as he went completely off the rails while Jillian realized that she’s been had and finally sent the country singer home.
If you missed last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, you can read a recap here.
It’s been a nerve-racking season. And while all the tension have seemingly ended in last night’s episode, I can’t help but feel that the drama is far from over. We’re now left with three guys, Reid, Kiptyn and Ed — men who aren’t as controversial as Wes but are all eligible and deserving to be in the final three.
I’m not sure what sort of drama will still unfold with Jillian’s remaining suitors but, based on previous season of The Bachelorette, you can expect the final episodes to be the most interesting ones.
Let’s break it down, shall we?
Reid – Also known as the Chandler Bing look alike. He’s the guy who has lots of ”physical chemistry” with Jillian. It’s obvious that there’s that natural romantic connection whenever Reid and Jillian go on one-on-one dates, but that can only take them so far. More often than not, these two have nothing to say to each other. There’s also that warning sign that he has commitment issues and that he uses his family’s “approval issue” as an excuse to get out of relationships. On the other hand, he’s the kind of guy who’s very open about his quirks and it’s pretty clear that Jillian sees something special in him.
Kiptyn – This guy has been labeled “perfect” next to eliminated bachelor Jake. He’s gorgeous, wealthy, and he connects with Jillian physically and emotionally. Like Jake, however, Jillian often feels that she’s not good enough for Kiptyn. Will she ever get past her insecurities and pick the ideal guy for once?
Ed – Also known as the Jeffrey Dean Morgan look alike. He’s the one that got away and eventually returned to steal Jillian’s heart. Jillian loves the idea that Ed came back to pursue her. After all, they did share a lot of great moments including a helicopter ride and dinner on a rooftop, just to name a few. But at the back of her mind, she’s worried that he’ll always choose his career over love. Still, Ed seems like a strong contender because even though he went missing for some time, Jillian pretty much kept him in the running.
