It’s Upfront week, when the networks unveil their schedules for the fall season. But before CBS does that, there are some final renewals to announce. The network is renewing 15 more shows beyond what they’ve already picked up for additional seasons.
On the drama side, CBS is renewing Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, CSI: Cyber, Elementary, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and Person of Interest.

Some of these series, including CSI: Cyber and Hawaii Five-0, were considered on the bubble, meaning they weren’t guaranteed to be renewed, but fans can now breathe a sigh of relief for some of their favorite CBS shows.
On the comedy side, newbie series The Odd Couple, starring Friends alum Matthew Perry, will be returning for a second season. This was another bubble show, considering that the ratings weren’t the best during its freshman run.
When it comes to reality TV, it’s no surprise that Survivor and The Amazing Race are being renewed, along with Undercover Boss.
CBS has also renewed 48 Hours and 60 Minutes.

With the renewal of spin-off CSI: Cyber, some may be wondering what the status is for the original CSI. CBS has not announced yet what the future holds. But Deadline notes that the network is making plans to have a proper sendoff for the show. The most talked-about option is to air a TV movie. There has also been talk of having a 13-episode final season, or even doing four or six episodes. Either way, fans should be reassured that there’s likely to be some sort of a planned ending, and that’s made even more exciting by the rumors that CBS wants William Petersen to return. Whatever the plan ends up being, it might be announced at the network’s upfront presentation.
Previous renewal announcements by CBS include NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, Madam Secretary, The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly.
CBS will reveal its fall 2015 schedule at the network’s upfront presentation on Wednesday, May 13.
