Lauren Conrad was born on February 1, 1986 in Laguna Beach, California. She attended Laguna Beach High School and joined the cast of MTV’s Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County during her senior year. The said reality show followed her personal life, as well as seven other teens, and transformed her into an outgoing person apart from her initially meek and shy persona. After graduation, she decided to study at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After one semester, she left school and transferred to Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Simultaneously, she worked as an intern a clothing company called Three Dots. Following this, she pursued an internship with Teen Vogue, which became the groundwork of her inclusion on reality series The Hills. Her exposure on the two reality shows paved the way for several guest appearances on Total Request Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, Jimmy Kimmel Live, E! News and The Tyra Banks Show.
The Hills follows Conrad’s pursuit of the fashion industry, which gives her the chance to shine in the limelight while doing what she really loves. Her inclusion on the show also gives her the opportunity to flaunt her sense of fashion in an extensive level.
