After the wrap of the three-part reunion session of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 4, you must be a little worn out from all the Jersey drama. But former housewife Dina Manzo just revealed on her blog a lot of interesting insight into the drama involving herself and Teresa Giudice with regards to Dina’s sister, Caroline Manzo, and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita.
“What most of you don’t know, and you can choose to believe this or not, but up until the night of the deck debacle and Teresa showed up at my doorstep crying, I had no idea that she was even fighting with Caroline and Jacqueline, that’s how much I stayed out of that BS and even after that night I had no idea of the extent of the hate until I watched it live with all of you,” Dina wrote on her personal blog.
Dina explained that she has attended every single one of Teresa’s parties, and Teresa in return was always very supportive of her own charity, Project Lady Bug. It wasn’t unlikely for Dina to be at an event, but it usually wasn’t caught on camera.
“When I arrived [at the Fabellini party] one of the producers took me aside and explained to me that Teresa was really taking a beating this season and needed some ‘on air support,'” Dina wrote. “As a friend I felt bad for her, as a human being I never like to see anyone standing alone. I don’t like when everyone is against one person and I certainly don’t like to see this happen to someone I care about.”
Dina also pointed at producers for using some of what she said to Teresa out of context, saying that they spent most of the conversation talking about Teresa’s situation with her brother, Joe Gorga, and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. It seems that when Dina said that “Blood is not always thicker than water,” she was referring to Teresa’s relationship with her family, not her own situation with Caroline.
“So here I am giving Teresa advice to just give her brother his space then she brings up my sister… did you see the look on my face? I’m sure the producers convinced her this was a good idea. A part of me felt I should say my peace,” Dina said. “Do I regret talking about it on camera? Was it wrong of me? Yes yes yes … But it’s done and I can’t take it back. I should have walked away but I didn’t. I do feel that this book nonsense is all that — nonsense. But I regret talking about it on film.”
As for Teresa’s part in the demise of her relationship with her siblings, Caroline and Chris Laurita, Dina claims it’s non-existent.
“She had nothing to do with my issues with my family, in fact, my issues stem back all the way from season one,” Dina asserted. “Teresa and the girls were buddy-buddy up until last year, so please stop saying I chose her over my family.”
And regarding her current relationship with her family, she tweeted on the night of the reunion, “I have 11 siblings and stay away from 2 of them. Do the math.”
