The Real Housewives of New York City is about to return for its seventh season in April and yet there is still much hype surrounding the return of Bethenny Frankel, who is reportedly demanding to see RHONY footage before it airs.

“Bethenny wanted control over any footage she was included in,” a source told Radar Online. “She didn’t want to come across as pathetic in the aftermath of her failed talk show, and doomed marriage. Bravo balked at first, but realized Bethenny wouldn’t come back without it.”
Having the final say in the editing of season 7 is apparently just one of the conditions that brought back Frankel on the reality show that launched her career. She also reportedly scored a seven-figure pay check, leaving some of her fellow housewives furious.

Meanwhile, another source is claiming that this is not the case. “None of the Housewives have any approval of the content aired on the show,” an insider reveals to Gossip Cop, adding that the cast members do not dictate what does and does not make the final cut.
The Real Housewives of New York City season 7 premieres April 7 on Bravo.
