Kat Graham will say goodbye to Mystic Falls for the last time at the end of season 8. Many have speculated whether Ian Somerhalder will also be departing The Vampire Diaries around the same time, which begs the question, “how much longer can the series go on?”
“Season 8 will be my last season,” Graham told Us Weekly. “I just hope that whatever I do after, the crew can come with me. If the crew can come with me, then we’ll be good. The crew is going to be the hardest thing to let go, because we are a family…but you know what, another season is a whole other year, and we’re going to blow it out.”
First Elena, now Bonnie, and rumors of Damon’s departure looming as well? The Vampire Diaries may not make it much longer. Although, Bonnie’s storyline wrapping up could fit into the story with room for the rest to grow. Throughout season 7, Bonnie has definitely gone through a lot and her troubles seem only to get worse. Graham also discussed this with Us Weekly and teased some big moments her character will have at the end of the season.
“There’s some really intense stuff with my character this season,” she said. “I think the biggest episodes I’ve ever had are 20 [airing April 29] and 21 [airing May 6]. It’s pretty major for the character — huge turns, a lot of stunts and cool sh*t!”
We’re sad to see you go, Bonnie.
The Vampire Diaries airs Fridays at 8pm on The CW.
