Viewers of The X Factor were surprised at last week’s elimination results considering Paige Thomas and Vino Alan were sent home while CeCe Frey, who has been in the bottom of the rankings for several weeks now, has managed to live to fight another week on the FOX competition. Though the odds doesn’t seem to be in her favor, judge Demi Lovato, who also serves as Frey’s mentor, isn’t giving up. In fact, Lovato is showing her all out support by campaigning hard and urging fans to vote.

Lovato, who spent Sunday with Frey, teased  on Twitter about Frey’s performance on this week’s X Factor.  “Love. This. Girl. So much fun today,” she wrote. “I think everyone is going to be SO excited about CeCe’s performances this week…. I NEED you guys to show your support!!!!! Please!!!!”

But Lovato didn’t stop there. She practically begged her Twitter followers to vote for Frey,  worked as a mail clerk prior to auditioning for The X Factor.

“Who’s going to #VOTEFORECECE on Xfactor this week???!!!! I need need neeeeeeeeed you to RT and tell everyone you know!!!!!!!”

Later, a desperate Lovato added several more posts on Twitter:

“I need you to vote HARDER than you’ve EVER voted before!!!!!!!!!”

“Regardless of what the other judges may say, CeCe is still in this competition for a REASON. This girl is VERY RELEVANT!!! She IS a POP STAR.”

“When you are a CeCe fan, you are VERY dedicated. JUST like my Lovatics.. Another reason why I love her Warriors..”

“Calling ALL LOVATICS: I NEED YOUR SUPPORT WEDNESDAY NIGHT…. PLEASE TUNE INTO WATCH CECE FREY PERFORM ON X FACTOR!!!! THEN VOTE!!!!!!! D.”

Meanwhile, it looks Simon Cowell will not be doing the British version and the U.S. version of The X Factor at the same time. As reported previously, the big bosses behind the U.K. version want Cowell back on the judging panel– a move that will hopefully save the show’s falling ratings. But TV Biz reports that he could not hop on both shows on a weekly basis similar to what Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli do on Strictly Come Dancing.

“Bruno and Len fly back and forth each week between LA and London on Strictly — but they are just judges, they don’t have to work with the contestants,” a source said. “Simon prides himself on being a good  mentor and he just cannot see a way to juggle three acts in America and three acts in the UK.He would be instantly open to accusations that he is not hands-on enough — and that is the opposite of how he works. Simon is desperately trying to find a way to do it but he’s convinced it’s a no-go.”

What do you think of Lovato’s campaign for Frey?
