Happy Birthday Kristen Stewart. And boy, has she had a great year. Starring as Bella in Twilight has skyrocketed Stewart into stardom. Whether she likes the attention or not is still to be seen. Besides Twilight, Kristen might’ve hit another home in her 18th year: Adventureland.
Born in Los Angeles, California on April 9, 1990, Kristen Stewart was born into the film industry. Her father, John Stewart, is a stage manager and television producer. Her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, is an Australian scriptwriter. Kristen first came to the limelight in 2002 when she starred opposite Jodie Foster in Panic Room.
It looks like her 19th year might be as exciting as her 18th. She’s currently in Vancouver filming the sequel to Twilight, New Moon, alongside cast members and good friends Robert Pattinson and Nikki Reed. She will also be staring as Joan Jett in The Runaways because, evidently, Kirsten can sing and play the guitar.
The drinking age in Vancouver is 19, so I’m guessing Kristen will be out partying sometime this weekend. After seeing Adventureland last night, I can tell you that movie is going to explode sometime soon because it’s just undeniably good. Jessie Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart are the perfect awkward couple. Their relationship is nothing short of complicated but is also very real. Stewart’s character Em, struggles with the idea that Eisenberg’s James might actually have good intentions. Moreover, she cannot believe she deserves the love and affection of such a good man. Her performance is gripping and thoughtful and Adventureland hits it right on the mark.
So, will Kristen Stewart’s star continue to glow? I’m guessing that 2010 will be even more profitable than 2009. Stewart is an unstoppable force of talent and intrigue. So, even though you don’t need it, good luck Kristen Stewart. And happy birthday!
