After two years of being in a relationship, Without A Trace star Roselyn Sanchez and Days of Our Lives alum Eric Winter finally announced their engagement. The celebrity couple got engaged while on a holiday vacation on the island of Vieques, just east of mainland Puerto Rico over the festive weekend.
The date or the location for their walk down the aisle have yet to be set but, according to Sanchez’s publicist Brenda Rodriguez, the couple will be ready to go over their nuptial plans once they return to Los Angeles from their Caribbean retreat.
The impending vow swap will be the first for 31-year-old Winter and the second for the 34-year-old Without A Trace actress, who previously tied the knot with British actor Gary Stretch whom she divorced in 2001 after three years of marriage.
Aside from playing FBI Missing Persons Unit Special Agent Elena Delgado on Without A Trace, Sanchez is also known for her roles on television shows like Kojak, Fame L.A. and As the World Turns where she portrayed Pilar Domingo. On the big screen, she has been cast in Rush Hour 2, and last fall’s The Game Plan, alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
As for Winter, he is best known for his role as Rex DiMera on the soap Days of our Lives. His other recent projects include appearances on the short-lived Viva Laughlin, a recurring role on Brothers & Sisters and Wildfire.
Meanwhile, both Sanchez and Winter will be gracing the silver screen later this year. Sanchez will be starring in the action thriller The Perfect Sleep, which tells the story of a tortured man who returns to the city in order to save the woman he has always loved yet can never have, while Winter is slated for Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, a comedy adventure sequel to Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.
